VERIFY US

Checking that we are real? Good. Here is how.

  • Legal name: ISI ENERGY LLC, Illinois.
  • One phone number: (224) 395-1162. If someone called you from a different number claiming to be ISI Energy, call us at this one to confirm.
  • Where we work: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties.
  • What we are not: We are not a utility, not ComEd, not a government program, and not an installer. See How It Works.

WHAT WE HELP WITH

What we can walk you through

Pick the topic you are curious about. Each page explains how it works in Illinois, what a consultation covers, and what questions to ask anyone, including us.

Residential Solar

Is your home a reasonable fit for rooftop solar, and what are your choices? We review your usage, your roof, and how ComEd (or your municipal utility) credits solar today.

Commercial Solar

For small and mid-size businesses, property owners, and nonprofits in the suburbs. We explain what changes when the building is commercial.

Battery Backup

What a home battery can and cannot do during an outage, how it pairs with solar, and how to think about sizing.

EV Chargers

Level 2 charging at home, what your electrical panel needs, and how charging fits with a solar system.

Solar Financing Options

Purchase, loan, lease, and power purchase agreement, side by side. Who owns the system, who gets the incentives, and what to read before you sign anything.

HOW IT WORKS

What happens after you book

1. A short conversation

We confirm you own the home, which utility serves it, and what you want to learn. About five minutes by phone.

2. A plain-language consultation on Zoom

We look at your recent electric bills and your roof using satellite imagery, then explain your options: solar, battery, EV charging, and the four ways to pay for a system. You ask questions. We answer them or tell you where the answer lives.

3. A written summary

You get a one-page recap of what we discussed, what was recommended and why, and what the next step would be. Nothing to sign.

4. Coordination with a licensed partner, if you want to go further

If you decide to move ahead, ISI coordinates the project with a licensed, ICC-certified installation partner. They perform the site survey, design, permitting, installation, and utility interconnection. We stay on the project as your point of contact.

OUR ROLE

Who does what

Our role

Sales, education, and project coordination. We are the people who explain things, answer the phone, and keep the project moving.

Licensed partners

All regulated work, meaning electrical, roofing, permitting, and installation, is performed by independent, licensed partners certified by the Illinois Commerce Commission as Distributed Generation Installers. We name the partner on your project before you sign anything with them.

You

You stay the utility's customer and remain responsible for your electric bill. You choose whether, when, and how to move forward. We will tell you if solar does not make sense for your home.

OUR STORY TEASER

Iron sharpens iron

ISI Energy was started by people who had sat through too many solar pitches that skipped the explaining and went straight to the signature. Our name comes from Proverbs 27:17, and it is how we try to treat every homeowner: honest answers, mutual respect, and a conversation that leaves you sharper than it found you.

Frequently asked questions

Questions people ask on the first call

Is ISI Energy a solar installer?

No. ISI Energy is a sales, education, and project-coordination company. Installation, electrical, and roofing work is performed by independent, licensed partners certified by the Illinois Commerce Commission as Distributed Generation Installers. We tell you who the partner is before you sign anything.

Did ISI Energy really call me?

Possibly. We do reach homeowners by phone. The only number we use for callbacks and on this website is (224) 395-1162. If you want to confirm a call was from us, hang up and call that number.

What does the free consultation include?

A 20 to 30 minute video call where we review your recent electric bills, look at your roof using satellite imagery, and explain your options for solar, battery backup, EV charging, and how each can be paid for. You receive a short written summary afterward. There is nothing to sign.

Will you tell me if solar is not a good fit for my home?

Yes. Shade, roof age, roof direction, and low electric usage can all make solar a poor fit. Telling you that early is part of the job.

Which areas do you serve?

Homeowners and small businesses in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties, Illinois, including communities such as Schaumburg, Naperville, Arlington Heights, Elgin, Aurora, Waukegan, Crystal Lake, and Joliet.
