Illinois Solar Answers

Short, sourced answers to the questions homeowners in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties actually ask about solar. Each article leads with a direct answer, cites the primary source (IRS, Illinois Commerce Commission, Illinois Power Agency, ComEd, or your municipal utility), names its author, and shows the date it was last reviewed. If something here is out of date, email info@ISIEnergy.us and we will fix it.

How we write these

How we write these

  • The answer comes first, in two or three sentences. The explanation follows.
  • Every number links to where it came from. If we cannot source it, we do not print it.
  • Illinois and ComEd specifics, not national averages.
  • A named author and a "Last reviewed" date on each one.
  • A next step at the end, never a hard sell.
